What is Truvitalyte Max?

Truvitalyte Max is a scientifically proven and economical solution for maintaining electrolyte balance, providing essential electrolyte components, and providing critical vitamin supplementation in calves. The mixed buffer solution has key components to assist in maintaining electrolyte balance in dehydrated calves, including:

Saccharomyces cerevisiae | An additional component of Truvitalyte Max is yeast, specifically Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Yeast have shown benefits in supporting calf health by increasing dry matter intake, enhancing growth, improving rumen development1, reducing risk of morbidity and mortality, and improving overall health2. Through the addition of yeast, Truvitalyte Max can have additional benefits beyond vitamin supplementation and correcting electrolyte imbalance.

Truvitalyte is recommended for use in maintaining proper electrolyte balance in calves, lambs, and kid goats. Truvitalyte is water soluble and available in single dose, 5kg, and 10kg formats. This product should be administered twice daily during diarrhea challenges or periods of stress.

Proven in Trials

An internal research trial was conducted at the Mapleview Agri commercial research facility in 2019 to test the effect of Truvitalyte Max on weight gain, hydration, and blood gas parameters in dairy calves. When comparing blood measures in dehydrated calves to measures of a healthy calf, Truvitalyte Max administration resulted in improvements over a 24 hour period:

Truvitalyte Max increased pH from enrollment to 24 hours following administration

Truvitalyte Max elevated carbon dioxide partial pressure following administration

Truvitalyte Max elevated bicarbonate and base excess levels 8 hours following administration

What Does This Mean?

The results of the trial show that administering Truvitalyte Max to calves with diarrhea resulted in improved acid base status and bicarbonate level after 8 hours, and increased pH and partial pressure of carbon dioxide.

Overall, Truvitalyte Max reduced risk of metabolic acidosis in dehydrated calves.

    These electrolytes are amazing. I’m a believer in the mos (mannan oligosaccharides) in it. I rarely have to give electrolytes twice to the same calf whereas other brands require multiple feedings over a course of a few days.

    They are good electrolytes, I am currently using them as a supplement to milk powder to make sure my calves are well hydrated,( 8l milk+ 2l electrolyte) the only thing I was afraid of was that it was gonna affect milk digestion because of the sodium bicarbonate but after reading online I have not had anyBad effects on my calves
